Megan Sweeney

Music

Megan Sweeney grew up in Nashua, New Hampshire, with a lifelong goal of becoming a teacher. She spent her childhood actively participating in various arts, gymnastics, and horseback riding, and loved anything that involved imagining and creating. In 2015, she began her teaching journey at Gymnastics Village in Amherst, NH, where she grew up doing gymnastics. Over the years, her passion for working with children and teaching grew, and she eventually became the recreational and preschool program coordinator at GV, creating movement-based lesson plans and curriculums with the littlest learners in mind. Through this, Megan also discovered her love for teaching future teachers. Her favorite part of grad school was being a teaching assistant for two freshman education classes in her program. She also went on to oversee training and guiding the new teachers that came into her gymnastics program. Her choral journey began in fourth grade, and she was a member of an elite chamber choir in college, as well as her university's opera workshop. Megan strives to combine her love of dance, music, and creating to foster a musical environment of endless learning through movement and creating. When she isn't in the classroom, you can find her in dance class, making art, directing summer camp, or running her small business.
